What can I expect after surgery?

Your breasts will be wrapped with a tight bandage for protection and support. You may also have drainage tubes coming out of the incisions to help drain excess fluids.

You will need to plan appropriately and have someone drive you home after your surgery. You will also need assistance during the first few days following your surgery. Also, your surgeon will prescribe medication; it is very important that you take them as directed.

How long will I need to stay in the hospital?

Most women who undergo breast enhancement surgeries are back home within their own bed just a few hours after surgery. This may vary, of course, depending on your particular procedure and whether or not you experience any complications during surgery.

When can I return to work?

Your surgeon will let you know when you can return to work. However, most women return to work within seven to ten days after their surgery. Of course, you will be restricted from physically demanding work and you should not lift your arms above shoulder level until your surgeon says it's ok for you to do so.
